James Poulos grew up building forts in the woods outside of Atlanta, GA. An avid tinkerer and born problem solver, he went to school for art at the University of Georgia and received an MFA from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. After school, James spent a few years working in Chicago making concrete countertops before moving back to Atlanta where he started doing metal fabrication for Smithworks Iron & Design. He has 15 years of experience designing, drawing, and fabricating high end custom metal work that inform his practice at Static Sense.
